**About the role:**
The Shopper Insights Manager is an exciting position on the Diageo Category Development team focused on harnessing data, advanced analytics and other research to predict shopper behavior and trends!
Responsibilities include development of a best-in-class approach to uncover insights related to Off Premise Shopper and On Premise Drinker behavior now and in the future. Leverage existing capabilities such as shopper panel and Virtual Reality tools and develop new approaches that will deliver grounded insights to shape our shopper and category strategies. With a key focus on curating insights into actionable ideas this role has phenomenal potential for high-level impact across the entire commercial organization.
**Role Responsibilities:**
**Key Outputs/Results**
+ Development of Hypotheses, Research Plans and Synthesis of all shopper insights, with a focus on predicting future opportunities
+ Responsible for management of Insights research and projects including vendor/agency management when appropriate
+ Development and communication of outputs ensuring key opportunities are identified and actioned with customer/sales teams
+ Development of understanding of changing commercial landscape; eCommerce, convenience, channel shifts, etc.
+ Work with customer marketing teams on distilling and including as part of BTL plans including opportunity quantification for shopper marketing platforms and programs
+ Delivery of insights to support standard category management practices: shelf management, promotion planning/analysis, merchandising and other retail execution
+ Provide general support and recommendations to all partners in support of Diageo Collaboration Center engagements and assist in managing insights content updates
**Experience / skills required:**
**Experience**
+ University degree or equivalent work experience required
+ Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant experience required, preferably Insights and/or Category Management experience in CPG or Beverage Category
+ Technical experience with advanced analytic and software skills relevant to Shopper Research/Category Management function
+ Experience with data management/insight generation (syndicated/Nielsen, Numerator, panel data, shopper loyalty, sales performance tracking)
+ Strong presentation/communication skills (Written and Verbal)
+ Proven track record of success in creative thinking, project management, functional/technical skills, decision quality, problem solving and business acumen
