Manager, Shore Excursion Operations
**Job Description** **Manager, Shore Excursions Operations - Skagway, AK** **Service Excellence. Performance. Integrity. Teamwork. Consistency. Innovation.** Our Skagway Transportation & Guest Service team is looking for a dynamic manager to fill this role in Skagway, AK. The Shore Excursions Operations Manager is a vital part of the Skagway Operations team, managing allocations of inventory and our relationships with the dock, our ships, and our vendors. You will need a solid understanding of CDL drivers and hours of service regulations due to the nature of the scheduling for tours and transfers. **Responsibilities:** + Manages dynamic and changing daily ship, dock, and tour operations for Skagway. + Manages the annual complex allocation process. + Collaborates with the cruise lines and vendors to create an efficient and revenue focused departures. + Manages the daily tour excursion settlement. + Collaborates & regularly communicates with other managers within the division. + Develops, facilitates, and manages the department training curriculum. + Assists with department budget preparation, management, and presentation. + Actively participates in recruitment, interviewing & hiring for all seasonal positions along with any directly assigned personnel. + Responsible for the employment, supervision, performance management, salary administration, coaching, and training of directly assigned personnel. **Requirements:** + This job normally requires a professional level of knowledge in transportation services operations equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of a Bachelor’s degree. Demonstration of directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement. + This job normally requires four years of progressively responsible positions in transportation services and operations. + Current or the ability to obtain valid Alaska driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be requested. + Create annual shore excursion allocations for all HAP tours and understanding the revenue & logistical implications. + Must pass a pre-employment background check. + Dedicated commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment. + Must be eligible to work in the United States. **Holland America-Princess** is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-2B status). **_Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:_** + Proficiency in the use of computer business applications, with working knowledge of Port Forecasting, Tour Star, Excel, Word and Connect Team. + Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to detail while working both an independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees, management and customers. + Ability to manage the working relationship & communication + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences. + Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality. + Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) certification is preferred.
