About the Team

Our UI Platform organization is responsible for developing the end-user facing layers of Workday products, which are used by over 65 million employees worldwide. Our team is at the forefront of developing platform solutions to provide enhanced user experiences for Workday users who process large amounts of information as part of their role.We are looking for a highly motivated Software Development Engineering Manager to scale and lead our Routing Services team. You’ll play a crucial role in shaping UI platform teams here in Beaverton. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team of Leaders, Engineers and Stakeholders to improve interoperability within the Workday application. About the Role
You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, driving innovation, and ensuring the seamless operation of our platform. You will lead by example, leveraging your deep knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React to build world class software.

About You
Basic Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in a Software Engineering role using JavaScript/TypeScript or Java
4+ years of proven experience in leading and managing teams in an agile environment, successfully delivering software projects.
Bachelor's degree in a computer Science or related fields or equivalent work experience
Other Qualifications:
Proven experience building web frameworks and libraries such as React, Redux, etc
Demonstrated track record of delivering performant, resilient solutions in a business-critical SaaS environment.
Solid understanding and practical experience with software engineering best practices (coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations).
You see software development as a team sport and thrive in a highly collaborative and agile culture where you’re always guiding and learning
You have a strong focus on delivering high-quality software products, continuous innovation, and you value test automation and performance engineering
You demonstrate the interpersonal skills needed to positively influence important issues or decisions in a multi-functional environment
You have the ability to communicate technical complexity in simple terms to both technical and non technical audiences
Experience supporting team members career growth and development
You put people first and ensure a psychologically safe environment for team members

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
