What you'll do Our Engineering & Tech Operations team builds and operates sophisticated solutions for global business challenges that cross cultures, and legal jurisdictions, and impact millions of people and businesses every day. Our Agreement Cloud is a revolutionary solution that changes the way people live, work, and come to agreement. We're looking for a self-motivated, hands-on integrations engineering manager, who will be leading a best-in-class engineering team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building integrations and services between Docusign and many key business partners. You will do this while working with a team of passionate people, who care about their customers and want to deliver quality solutions that improve customer productivity for complex workflows. The desired candidate will be a well-rounded, hands-on engineering manager, who is fearless in jumping into any level of the stack and has shown experience in web development, a flexible attitude, and skills to learn and share. This person enjoys working in a fast-paced agile environment, cares about their decisions, and is focused on quality-driven development. Docusign currently supports many integrations, such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and ServiceNow, and we are building new key integrations. This role will be responsible for the integrations and common platform components shared across these integrations. This position is a people manager role reporting to the Senior Manager, Engineering. Responsibility Lead a team to architect and build high-quality, ship-ready code with unit tests, logging and monitoring Work with product and project teams to understand and translate sending integration requirements into software requirements that are well-defined, measurable, and attainable Own and deliver accurate effort estimations for each release cycle Foster career development for your team Deliver products that delight customers while managing the health of the code base through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt Be an expert at agile continuous delivery, DevOps, and TDD/BDD and champion the culture, processes, and tools required to maintain a frictionless high-quality development environment Dive deep into technology and are at the forefront of the latest tools, technologies, and strategies and help evaluate, prototype, and introduce them to our team Provide coaching and leadership in software best practices, and automated test strategies, and work toward flattening the cost of change curve for our software products and services Prioritize great user experiences and be a partner to product management/engineering, sales, operations, and other parts of the business Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of combined software development management experience across multiple languages and frameworks or equivalent experience 5+ years of hands-on software development or equivalent experience Experience consuming and developing solutions that are highly interactive with internal and external APIs and web services Experience with SaaS or Cloud Preferred A passion for continuous improvement Experience building learning organizations that keep up with the state of the art and mentoring your team Experience building high-performing, secure applications and building security into the DNA of products Knowledge and experience in high-scale, highly available (99.99+) systems Experience with Git, continuous integration, and deployment tools Experience working in an agile development environment Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies and toolsets Prior experience building an integrations platform/infrastructure to seamlessly integrate 3rd party applications Demonstrated track record leading geographically dispersed teams Experience with language, framework, and toolset agnostic, having worked in at least 3 languages or paradigms, or equivalent experience Experience with advanced web applications and TDD on the client side Wage Transparency Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations: California: $151,800.00 - $245,150.00 base salary This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
