Your Impact


As a Manager, Software Engineering you will provide project management and leadership on medium to large scale products with internal and direct customer impact. Responsible for day-to-day management of Engineering team to ensure technical quality, product quality, and efficient use of resources. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and within agreed upon quality standards. Work closely with cross-functional teams within OpenText and partner with key stakeholders.

Deliver assigned projects to time, budget and agreed quality standards Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Operations, other delivery teams and Release Management to ensure effective launch and delivery of projects to satisfy business needsLead teams to ensure project delivery successBuild and maintain strong client relationships, internal and external Apply best-practices and coding patterns that ensure world-class solutions that are maintainable, modular, and of high code-qualityCreate a culture that insists on meeting expectations and delivering valueDrive automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvementGrow and manage the skills and talent in the teamManage People Resource processes related to objectives definitions, regular check-in, assessment and compensationManage communication cross-functionally and escalate promptly as issues arise Facilitate regular Steering Committee meetings and present to senior level management Take responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction during project delivery Maintain project management documentation including but not limited to project plans, issues, risks, action items, scorecards and project sites.Excellent problem solving skills

 

What you need to succeed

 

14+ years’ experience in developing and managing core products or business applicationsStrong domain experience on Cyber Security. Ability to drive innovation and take ownership of products offering cyber security to customers and MSP.Experience with Content Management, Web Development, Agile Development & global deliveryPractical knowledge of agile/iterative development processStrong design, architecture and coding experienceHands on experience in C#, .Net, Front end web development and related technologiesGood knowledge in Analytics, Machine Learning, Cloud, Multi Project / Program Management, & DevelopmentAble to handle large-scale and multiple products and scrum teams  concurrentlyKnowledge of software development lifecycle process and methodologiesEntrepreneurial and self-motivated, business orientedStrong leadership, people management and mentoring skillsGoal driven; plans and manages toward achieving goals, anticipates problems and issues and proactively drives their resolution.Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels.Skilled in presentations and discussions with business and technical staffExperience in working in an international environment involving multiple development sites on various time zones.Must be confident, highly motivated and passionate about delivery and customer satisfaction.
