IGT, the leading slot game manufacturer, is seeking an enthusiastic Engineering Manager who is ready to apply their technical expertise to achieve new levels of efficiency and drive innovative designs. This role will be critical in mentoring and guiding developers to achieve their career goals. Collaboration and experience in delivering multiple projects through technical leadership and a desire to continually improve the organization are essential for success in this position.


Responsibilities:

Manage and prioritize the workload of all engineers Actively promote the quality and on-time completion of projects Work closely with product management to resolve feasibility of product features and provide alternatives when necessary Keep team engagement levels high, inside, and outside of the department Set measurable objectives for the team and individual reports and guide to achieve them Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s) Encourage innovation of process and creative development methodologies by all Actively lead or participate in resolving key issues that impact the performance of the team Contribute to customer development and proposal development Present creative solutions to internal teams when possible  Design and implement critical components of the product Acts as advisor to team members to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems Develops and coordinates schedules, performance requirements Provides mentorship to team members within the established company policies Capable of owning and leading key initiatives to completion Requirements

Minimum Skills and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree required 8+ years of software and team management experience Knowledge of the implications for video game developments Working knowledge of the software development process Experience with Agile development methodologies Experience with the continuous integration process Solid understanding or broad experience with C++ programming language, Python, Perforce, Jira and Confluence Excellent interpersonal skills - able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel Team management & Leadership skills with multi-functional technical teams (Engineering, QA, Operations) Demonstrated team player Experience working with geographically distributed teams Keys to Success

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $86,538-$220,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses.
