Manager, Software Quality- Integration Testing & Release Management (Hybrid)
Your Moneris Career - The Opportunity You will lead a team of Quality Analysts and Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs) dedicated to building and maintaining integrated testing environments, ensuring the quality of applications within those environments. You will blend strategic leadership with hands-on oversight, collaborating with development and release management teams to improve testing workflows, improve release processes, and bring the transition to continuous delivery. **Location:** You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a hybrid model. **Reporting Relationship** : You will report to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance. Your Moneris Career - What you'll do + Implement the strategy for a holistic, integrated test environment across Moneris, ensuring support for both legacy and modernized applications. + Maintain and refine testing practices for applications that have not yet shifted left, ensuring quality standards. + Oversee and manage the processes related to the integrated test environment, ensuring understanding of product and release cycles. + Partner with the release management team to refine and automate release artifacts, improving efficiency and allowing Moneris to move towards continuous delivery. + Help refine and evolve testing practices to adopt more modern tools and automation frameworks, enhancing the testing landscape at Moneris. + Manage a team of Quality Analysts and Software Development Engineers in Test (SDETs), providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance. + Improve projects, implementing process optimizations for testing and release management workflows. + Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of testing efforts and process improvements. + Collaborate with development and release management teams to agree on integration testing and release management strategies. + Communicate the status of integration testing, highlight risks or challenges, and present mitigation plans to ensure smooth and on-time releases. + Foster relationships with product teams, ensuring integration testing and release management efforts align with broader organizational goals. Your Moneris Career - What you bring + Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. + 5+ years of leadership experience, managing teams focused on software testing, quality assurance, or related disciplines. + 5+ years' experience managing end-to-end testing within integrated environments and coordinating release testing efforts across multiple products. + Background in maintaining and overseeing integration test environments, ensuring reliability, consistency, and smooth operation across testing workflows. + Experience driving the use of modern testing tools and practices, in transitioning from manual to automated testing. + Experience managing release testing, defining release strategies, automating release artifacts, and collaborating to refine release processes. + Experience performing root cause analysis of testing failures and issues and implementing remediation plans. + Strong leadership and coaching abilities, with experience managing teams and guiding them through continuous improvement plans. + Track record in building relationships, especially with development, release management, and product teams, to agree on quality assurance goals. + Excellent communication skills, able to convey testing progress, risks, and mitigation plans to diverse partners. + Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities and aligning teams around common goals. + Courageous in holding teams accountable while promoting a collaborative environment and ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
