Job Description:

Provide leadership of strategic sourcing activities for the Endoscopy business unit. You will obtain the best quality, service, and value for products and services through effective bidding, negotiation, and supplier management. You will also have responsibility for leading cross-functional efforts to develop and implement strategic commodity plans that include cost reduction initiatives, new product development, supply base and optimization and rationalization, quality improvement, risk assessment, and contract negotiation, and may include responsibility for cross-divisional, group-wide, and/or global strategies and initiatives. You will be a resident expert in strategic sourcing and procurement practices and serve as a mentor to others.

Lead the development and implementation of strategies and goals for assigned commodities in support of overall divisional business objectivesLead sourcing analysis and selection process and perform cost analyses and make vs buy analyses as requiredNegotiate, establish, monitor, and enforce supplier contracts and agreementsDevelop strong partnership relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businessesIdentify supply base risk and develop/implement mitigation plans including market assessments, supplier's financial assessments, social responsibility, environment, ethics etc.Ensure cost standards are established for annual operating budgetsOrganize and lead scorecard review meetings and business reviewsManage and develop continuous improvement programs, addressing quality, delivery, and service, as well as cost

 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field8+ years of professional supply management experienceExperience operating in a highly regulated industry

 

Preferred Skills:

Experience with strategic sourcing and supplier developmentDemonstrated excellence in contractual negotiations and administration to obtain best prices and terms on products, materials, and servicesExperience in the assessment and mitigation of risk in the supply baseInternational procurement and supplier management experience   Strong analytical skills, ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks

 

Travel Percentage: 20%
