About the Team

The sourcing team executes strategic sourcing goals globally to address company and brand business needs within the organization. This position is responsible for working with multiple departments and communicating important sourcing updates to the leadership team in merchandising, inventory, product development, quality assurance, and global offices.

 

About the Role 

You will execute against defined sourcing strategy to ensure product development meets criteria of cost competitiveness, supplier capabilities, sustainability, quality, country and vendor risk while representing brands needs within your category.

This role is onsite in SF 4X a week.

 

Responsibilities 

Provide coaching and training to associate and/ or cross-functional team Influence brand leadership and cross-functional partners to achieve balanced category strategy Represent the brand to WSGO partners and collaborate on management of product  Focus efforts on management of core and top seasonal investments Troubleshoot seasonal product issues related to development, production and/or delivery in assigned categories Manage sourcing processes and procedures in the assigned categories to successfully execute and deliver WSI products on time, which meet the design, quality and value mission.  Monitors vendor performance & provides feedback to suppliers on their performance Collaborate with our Williams Sonoma Global Operations (WSGO) partners  Update and maintain accurate product information via our Product Life Cycle Management system  Wear Test Management—track samples and progress of wear testing (if required) Work with cross functional teams including Product Development, Merchandising, WSGO, and Inventory to achieve company initiatives  Demonstrates high level of organization skills and can quickly prioritize based on the needs of the business Able to apply strong analytical and reasoning skills  Strong negotiation and management skills 

 

Criteria

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in international sourcing within the retail or manufacturing industry.  1-2 years of experience in a specific category sourcing is a plus, but not required Management experience leading a team 4+ years college education (BA/BS) or relevant work experience  This role requires being onsite in the San Francisco office

The expected starting pay range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
