As the Manager, Strategic Programs within the Accounting Central team, you will blend project management skills and a passion for delivering results. You will partner with Corporate Accounting team members and leaders, as well as our technology squads, to assist with the development and implementation of plans to drive Accounting Modernization efforts forward.
You will help plan, coordinate, monitor, record and communicate progress for modernization workstreams, ensure successful execution and delivery, and work closely with the Director, Strategic Programs and the Central Team to present status and results for the program team, impacted business partners, and stakeholders. The initial focus area will be on Modernization workstreams in partnership with workstream leads but may expand to other projects that the Central Team becomes involved in to support Corporate Accounting.
You will partner closely with the Modernization team to monitor progress against plans and track and report on key performance indicators.
The Role
Perform day-to-day project management activities for modernization workstreams including partnering with workstream leads to help define detailed deliverables, track and maintain progress, and identify and document dependencies and watch items
Develop and deliver clear and compelling written communications, tailored to each audience on project and/or workstream status, watch items, issues, etc.
Assist Director on consulting and advising leadership on insights to stay aligned with program goals
Act as the liaison between working teams and program leadership
Respond to rapid changes in information, process & direction, and sequencing work to meet key dates
Ensure consistent practices across workstreams for tracking workstream status, deliverables, presentations, etc.
Manage key dependencies and decision points during the workstream lifecycle
Collaborate with change management team on messaging, associate participation and satisfaction, and measuring and monitoring adoption of new processes and technology.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
4+ years’ experience in technology delivery, process improvement initiatives with cross-functional impact, and/or large complex project management experience, balancing partner needs with program objectives
Demonstrated knowledge of technology implementation lifecycle preferred
Experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project or Planner) preferred
Excellent collaboration, communication, presentation, and resource management skills to work with technical and business partners across multiple US regions and globally
Strong interpersonal, influencing and relationship management skills, including an ability to build relationships effectively with peers, all levels of management, and associates.
Problem solving with focus on delivery execution and the quality of outcomes
Outstanding listening, communication, and facilitation skills
Proven time management and organizational skills; able to balance multiple competing priorities
Detail oriented and works with a strong sense of urgency
Demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise presentations tailored to all levels of a large-scale project
