Manager, Strategic Sourcing Indirect

Job Description

Global Sourcing is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation. Responsible for developing and executing strategy to source indirect goods and services to support our business stakeholders and programs. Perform analysis in order to select supplier and negotiate best value for Cardinal Health. Provide supplier relationship management and contract compliance management, including maximization of financial deliverables and risk mitigation. May work within various procurement systems to execute purchase orders and resolve technical issues as identified.

Accountabilities

Indirect Sourcing Category Lead for assigned categoriesPrimary Sourcing business partner support for key stakeholders within assigned indirect categoriesWork closely with indirect suppliers to source indirect goods and services Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing indirect supplier contracts Resource for Indirect Procurement team regarding Data Privacy AgreementsManage Request for Proposal (RFP) events within assigned indirect categoriesDrive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholdersReview and approve Ariba purchase requests within assigned categories

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree preferred8-12 years of experience in related fieldStrategic Sourcing (indirect or direct) experienceUnderstanding of various commodities within the enterprise, including labor, IT, Hardware and SoftwareAdvanced Excel skillsSupplier management, contracting and negotiation experienceAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally and inclusively.
