What You’ll Be Serving Up:
The Manager, Strategy is responsible for driving high-impact strategic initiatives for KFC globally, partnering with Finance and cross-functional leaders at Corporate and Business Units to identify and support execution of emerging opportunities that will enable step-change growth for our business. This role will help bring to life our strategy and support critical projects in service of that.
Here’s How You’ll Spice Things Up:
Strategic Execution (50%)
Partner with cross-functional project teams to help develop, frame, and analyze the most effective ways to deliver KFC’s strategic objectives. Transform financial analysis into presentations with meaningful conclusions used to inform/influence both KFC Global Leadership Team and Business Unit leadership. Define and manage robust processes, dashboards and deliverables to track progress, identify risks, and drive accountability for the successful execution of strategic and transformation projects. Proactively support Global Leadership Team members as they execute the plan for each initiative to overcome barriers, solve problems, re-allocate resources, and adjust as needed based on internal and external factors. Embed with cross-functional teams as necessary to champion work and drive resultsCommunications & Measurement (40%)
Lead meetings and reviews to ensure that all teams are working towards the same objectives. Act as point person for communication around strategic initiatives and business cadence, ensuring that stakeholders at all levels are informed and engaged. Establish and track KPIs to measure the success of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and adjustments needed to stay aligned with overall business goals. Run analyses as needed to help support smart execution. Identify potential risks to the successful implementation of strategies and rhythm activities and develop mitigation plans to address these risks proactively.Ad Hoc Analysis and Reporting (10%)
Support and be a thought partner to the Strategy Director on various ad hoc initiatives including analysis and presentations for YUM, LT, AOP, investors and franchise meetings. Prepare periodic reporting for the KFC Global and GM Team(s) including executive meetings.What You Bring to the Table:
Education/Certifications
Undergraduate Degree from accredited 4-year university
Experience
4+ years of experience in a Strategy role(s) or equivalent experience. MBA degree or 2+ years work experience at a strategy consulting firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Accenture, EY), preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and generate actionable recommendations. Proven data analytics skills and ability to draw quick insights from complex data sets. Experience in QSR or hospitality industry preferred. Self-motivated, self-directed worker with a strong drive for results and intellectual curiosity. Ability to establish and nurture strong relationships with diverse groups and create and maintain sound remote networks. Self-starter - ability to create presentations and ‘playbooks’, take on own initiative, and follow through to meet deadlines.What’s In It for You:
