Ameren Missouri has been providing electric and gas service for more than 100 years, and our electric rates are among the lowest in the nation. Ameren Missouri's mission is to power the quality of life for our 1.2 million electric and 132,000 natural gas customers in central and eastern Missouri. Our service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities including the greater St. Louis area.

Key responsibilities include:
 

Establishes, communicates, and reinforces expectations for superior personnel safety performance.Guides teams to develop long-range electric subtransmission (34kV to 100kV) system plans and the annual electric system load forecast.Evaluates subtransmission system seasonal peaks for the upcoming season as well as for the next 10 yearsPerforms system wide reviews to identify capacity issues and develops alternative solutions, ultimately deciding which project to move forward with.Oversee the portfolio of 34-69kV subtransmission projects in the Grid Resiliency SEP category to establish priorities while getting input from the Division Engineers, Operating, and Sub Maintenance.Review subtransmission projects entered into OPPM for description, justification, and alternative analysis validity.Direct and review generation interconnection studies, customer load addition evaluations, and subtransmission system analyses.Support initiatives to achieve target levels of electric service reliability and meet reporting requirements.Support Distribution Control operations and Region personnel regarding the performance of the electric subtransmission system in Missouri.Participate in the restoration of electric service during major storm response efforts by serving in a support role.Participate in research activities as needed including industry collaborations, including EPRI training and studiesContinuously improve existing processes and procedures with automation to drive efficiencyCreating an environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical, from an ABET accredited college or university required. Non-electrical engineering disciplines will be considered only if they possess at least 3 years of distribution or transmission planning experience. Professional Engineer License (PE) preferred.

Five or more years of relevant engineering experience required. Relevant experience includes distribution or transmission engineering or construction, substation and line design, grid planning or operations, project management, project engineering, power system analysis, or related fields. Three or more years of supervisory or project/team leadership experience required.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Ability to manage multiple projects with varying deadlines required.  Must possess good organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Must have demonstrated leadership behaviors with the ability to work collaboratively and flexibly across multiple organizations, solve problems decisively, and be proactive and self-motivated to identify improvement opportunities, establish priorities and meet deadlines.

Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process.  Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$128,700.00 - $199,500.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
