This position will be responsible for supporting Subways Operating Initiatives & Project Coordination area in identifying gaps within DOSs project management capabilities, documenting findings for DOS Sr. Leadership, assisting the operating divisions in developing action plans, tracking operating divisions response, and ensuring DOS is positioned to effectively respond to C&D and MTA IT initiatives. These positions will be responsible for creating and maintaining unified project schedules, accounting for project interdependency impacts and interactions between projects, and ensuring stakeholders understanding of resource requirements and expectations. These positions will also track requests for information and review of contract submittals, maintain matrixes of identified stakeholders, verify compliance with timelines, and synthesize DOS responses to ensure that the correct stakeholders have provided input. These positions will be tasked with providing periodic project and program updates to Senior Management in the operating divisions, as well as to Senior Leadership in the DOS. This position will be responsible to gather i nformation from C&D, MTA-IT, vendors, consultants, operating divisions, and downstream support stakeholders to develop a complete, all-inclusive picture of DOS involvement in programs and projects impacting the operating divisions. These positions will be responsible to communicate these schedules to the operating divisions and senior leadership, and provide updates on schedule adherence, risks, resource stains, overlapping efforts, and achievements. These positions will i dentify gaps in stakeholder identification and work towards resolving staffing and succession planning issues ; m aintain records of all DOS responses to C&D and MTA IT, including formal responses, Working Group Actions, and design discussions, creating a central repository of DOS requirements communicated to project teams ; and, i dentify, flag, and communicate, and resolve impacts to stakeholders during the design, construction, test and commissioning of Capital and MTA IT projects . Education and Experience: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in public administration, economics, computer science, marketing, or engineering or satisfactory equivalent. Six ( 6 ) years of related experience and t hree ( 3 ) years must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity; or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience. Selection Method: Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience, and interview. All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
