The Site Supply Chain Manager works under the Local Site Director/ Manager.  They are responsible for all activities related to local Production Scheduling, Material Replenishment, Warehousing and local Logistics. They must ensure that all activities concerning Scheduling, replenishment, handling and warehousing of the raw materials, packaging supplies and finish goods for the plants are properly done.  Their overall responsibility and authority includes ensuring the factory is prepared to meet the needs of our customers.

 


Key responsibilities include: 


Site Scheduling activities:

This position is the voice of the site, all issues must be communicated internally and externally Manage the orders to ensure on time and complete delivery, based on the capabilities of the factory Works closely with the site to ensure all capacity is well utilized and managed

 

Inventory Management:

Assure the use of the company assets by managing production lot sizes and supplier replenishment Assure inventory budget targets of raw and packaging material and finished goods Ensure that all raw and packaging material and finished goods inventory is in line with the demand

 

Material Handling / Warehousing:

Ensure proper staffing for all shipping and warehouse related activities Manage the Capacity of the warehouse Manage the flows of inventory to external storage, if needed Manage reception of all goods at the site Manage conformance of vendors, as needed Manage JIP deliveries to production lines

 

Replenishment:

Manage MRP recommendations and ensures availability of all raw material and packaging materials Assures the processes of the replenishment and return of material related to supplier quality issues, are managed timely and accurately Responsible for ensuring supplier delivery, reliability and quantity compliance; addresses various issues as they occur Communicates weekly our future material requirements with suppliers Ensures that production scheduling is in line with customer requirements in order to meet the customer demand Manages MRP recommendations of finished goods products and ensures that production scheduling optimizes the utilization of the factory Works closely with Supply Planning, Customer Care, Regional warehousing and Transportation to ensure smooth execution of the materials to the production floor as well as to our Customers

 

 

About you:

 

Bachelor’s Degree - preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Administration Certifications from APICS are desirable SAP experience is required, preferably at a super user level 5-7 years experience in Supply Chain Management Previous leadership experience is required, management of a similar sized team Communicate effectively verbally and in writing Handle conflicts diplomatically and constructively to maintain positive relationships and team dynamics Problem-solving skills and a strong desire to serve the customer Teamwork: The capacity to work collaboratively with others, contribute to group goals, and resolve conflicts within a team Adaptability: Being open to change, flexible in response to new situations, and resilient in the face of challenges Fluency in one or more foreign languages is a plus Knowledge of MS Office Suite: Excel and Word, Power BI, SAP, Google Drive  Travel requirements minimum. During the onboarding process several trips may be required to the Chicago offices
