Manager, Supply Chain
  ROLE STATEMENT: The Manager, Supply Chain will be a member of the US Operations Support – Supply Chain department responsible for executing the strategy and managing procurement and inventory control for all Calfrac major component items, spare parts, MRO, lubricants, sand and fuel. Reporting to the President, US Operations, the Manager, Supply Chain will focus on leading all sourcing initiatives with functional business partners for the division. The role is also responsible for supporting the day-to-day logistical and warehouse supply and delivery challenges of all districts including developing replenishment strategies to best optimize inventory levels for all districts and ensuring key suppliers are performing as per commercial terms.   LOCATION: Downtown Denver, CO SALARY: $135k - $170k DOE   SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: Act as a key link between internal stakeholder groups and the external supplier base  Accountable for understanding key business drivers and ensuring that stakeholder requirements are fulfilled Utilize global and / or regional operations in order to exploit corporate opportunities, with a high expectation of having a significant positive impact on the company’s operations, marketing, overall costs, adherence to policies and regulations, production figures, and cycle times Conduct internal and external spend and market analyses, identify opportunities, develop procurement and inventory strategies, lead sourcing teams, negotiate contracts and manage key supplier relationships Develop, in conjunction with each division, integrated approaches, standard operating procedures, sustainable cost improvement processes, and transparent cost reporting Responsible for leading all sourcing initiatives with functional business partners for multiple divisions within Calfrac Understand the corporate direction and strategy and link GSC strategy to corporate goals As a key link between internal stakeholder groups, procurement, and the external supplier base, this role is accountable for understanding key business drivers and ensuring that stakeholder requirements are fulfilled Coordinate and achieve consensus and implement a global procurement and inventory management strategy Mentor and lead direct reports in order to generate effective team results Maintain a keen awareness of appropriate asset and raw material supplier / market intelligence Develop and implement sourcing strategies from supplier to field utilization Keep abreast of industry “Best Practices” and strive for the goal of “world-class” supply chain group Support and educate suppliers and staff on procurement policies and procedures Continue to optimize deliveries and logistics activities with key suppliers Strive to build partnerships across all lines of business to achieve the best possible business results Provide a “value-added” approach to all supply chain initiatives and establish a trusted advisor relationship with internal stakeholders Create and develop innovative ways of streamlining the operations process wherever possible with guidelines of customer requirements and global supply strategies Support the day-to-day supply and delivery challenges for all districts Ensure key suppliers are performing as per commercial terms Monitor available supplies, materials and products in order to ensure that customers and employees have access to the products and services they need Optimize the sand supply and fulfillment and manage inbound 3rd party transportation and railcar fleet   KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES: Experienced in extensive cross-functional collaboration, and use of strategic sourcing best practices to maximize value in terms of cost savings/avoidance, demand planning, risk reduction, quality and supplier performance Energetic, flexible team player capable of forming strong relationships throughout the entire organization, in addition to successfully leveraging resources, processes and tools to achieve desired outcomes Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and verbal and written communication skills Must be able to interact effectively and work comfortably with field, district, head office staff, senior management and executive team Strong leadership, mentoring and delegation skills Ability to challenge assumptions backed by a strong business acumen and strong interpersonal skills Is a person of high character; is consistent and acts in line with a clear and visible set of values and beliefs Can accomplish goals through influence, not only through authority Ability to focus on action and outcomes; drives to finish all assignments from start to finish Experience working within a dynamic and competitive industry sector, ideally with a broad international business platform Has a history of contributing and advising senior management Global Supply Chain issues Proficient background in asset management and negotiations Is known as a “world-class” supply chain professional Advanced working knowledge of worldwide oilfield services operations Clear history of understanding theoretical inventory/logistics practices and turning those strategies into successful implementations Has utilized supply chain tools (RFx) to accelerate global deliverables Excellent ability to motivate client groups to participate in the design and implementation of effective corporate solutions Hands-on and operationally oriented and with a value-added approach   EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 10+ years of progressive international oil & gas supply chain management experience with specific experience in procurement, inventory management, category management, and people leadership A graduate degree in a related field such as supply chain, finance or business, from a recognized institute is required;
