POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist Senior Manager, Supply Chain to plan, develop, execute and manage strategic sourcing initiatives for the supply chain functions including procurement of products, materials, parts, supplies, equipment and services aiming at cost reduction and process improvement as well as managing vendor effectively; and to train, develop, mentor and assist subordinates in all of the departments that fall within the supply chain process.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES:

Develop and execute strategies for supply chain functions to aggressively reduce cost of key supplies and services, reduce material lead times and inventory requirements and associated working capital needs.Identify needs and potential suppliers, soliciting bids, reviewing bids and selecting suppliers, negotiating and awarding contracts.Create integrated processes among Operations, Procurement, Logistics, and outside suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process.Provide leadership to the Procurement Team, mentoring to staff and ensure all staffs are adequately trained.Partner with other executives in Engineering, F&B, Hotel Operations, Entertainments, Marketing etc. to achieve company and functional goals.Prepare, review and renew trade agreements, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for price and acceptability of items.Oversee all activities related to procurement of commodities, from intent to purchase through delivery.Negotiate or supervise negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services with suppliers and subcontractors.Ensure subordinates and business units compliance with Supply Chain policies and procedures and company’s rules and regulations.Assist Vice President, Supply Chain to handle new development projects both within and outside Macau.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Experience

At least 10 years’ experience in supply chain with at least 5 years’ experience in a management role.With marketing procurement management experience would be an advantage.Preferably in hospitality, gaming, large restaurant chains and/or supermarket chains environments.    Extensive souring experience in procurement of marketing and promotions category with global procurement experience preferred.Extensive sourcing experience in China is an advantage.Demonstrated experience in sourcing techniques to provide cost savings while maintaining qualityExcellent business, financial and negotiating skills.Possess strong leadership and communication skills.Highly developed analytical thinking, understanding and application of logical and analytical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.Bi-lingual in English and Cantonese is an advantage; a working knowledge of Mandarin would also be advantageous.Strong working knowledge of ERP and MRP systemsKnowledge of world class sourcing tools and experience in implementing them.

Education

Appropriate tertiary qualifications, major in Business Administration or Supply Chain.Recognized professional accreditation, CPM or CPSM.
