Responsibilities

•    Direct development of the Master production schedule based on utilization, demand (forecast and actual), material and equipment availability, staffing, and quality/regulatory considerations
•    Utilize input from all functional areas of the site, providing expertise and assisting functional leads in identifying production risks, evaluating capacities required to support production and storage raw material, intermediates and finished goods
•    Manage MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) and MPS (Master Production Schedule) activity, ensure the system is being fully, and properly utilized and planning parameters and being properly maintained to produce accurate planning recommendations
•    Direct warehouse operations and Logistics functions including all inbound/outbound activities
•    Ensure the management of the introduction and obsolescence of materials throughout product life cycle. Positively affect cash flow and cost of goods by consistently maintaining costing accuracy, supporting the order execution process and managing inventories
•    Maintain best practice KPI metrics and dashboard(s) to measure site execution, customer service and performance of Supply Chain processes (examples include: On-Time Shipment, Inventory level and Schedule adherence)
•    Continual communication with peers to determine the status of assigned projects
•    Expedite operations when required, including all functional groups, to prevent delay of schedules
•    Alter schedules through the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to meet unforeseen conditions
•    Interface with Customer Service to address customer needs and maintain/track client contract obligations
•    Ensure Policies/Procedures within area of responsibility are up to date and trained on by all team members
•    Manage the Supply Chain Team utilizing a collaborative and consensus approach to ensure customer needs are well represented and met
•    Provide professional guidance through performance appraisals, coaching and team empowerment
•    Embrace continuous improvement by working with operations leaders and others to incorporate processes that reduce time and errors and increase plant efficiencies and overall profit
•    Supervisory responsibilities: this position does have supervisory responsibilities

Required

•    High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 9 years of relevant related work experience, plus 2 years in a team leadership role of professional level individual contributors
OR
•    AAS Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant related work experience, plus 2 years in a team leadership role of professional level individual contributors
OR
•    BA/BS Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 5 year of relevant related work experience, plus 2 years in a team leadership role of professional level individual contributors
OR
•    MA/MS Degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant related work experience, plus 2 years in a team leadership role of professional level individual contributors

Preferred

•    Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
•    Continuous Improvement (Lean Six Sigma) experience
•    Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
•    Experience in a Pharmaceutical/Chemical manufacturing environment, or similar
•    Previous managerial experience
