Job Purpose:
The Supply Planning team plays a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers while optimizing investments in working capital and managing total cost.Our Supply Planning Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient inventory management and supply planning to drive business growth. This position is responsible for leading and developing a team of Supply Planners and Supply Coordinators utilizing supply chain management principles and core competencies. The individual will foster a collaborative and continuous improvement environment while effectively working to develop key relationships with functional counterparts.
Job Responsibilities:
● Manage supply planning and execution of inventory strategy for a high volume and complex set of items, categories, and suppliers.● Manage and mentor a team of supply planning professionals providing clear direction and performance feedback to ensure the team's success and development.
● Execute process improvement opportunities.
● Develop and monitor forward-looking outlook on supply forecast and team purchasing spend for respective segment/categories.
● Monitor and analyze supply chain KPI metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve customer service.
● Own Inventory Targets (DIOH/$) necessary to meet customer service and cash conversion cycle goals.
● Collaborate with category management teams to manage supplier relationships, support supplier performance management (LOTC, Lead Times, etc.), develop content and lead Supply Review S&OP meeting with key vendors.
Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and able to identify and resolve complex business problems through data driven decision making.
● Proactive approach to implementing process enhancements.
● Strong knowledge of supply chain management, supply chain optimization, hub-spoke strategy, forecasting and analysis with understanding of inventory management best practices.
Work Experience:
● 1-3 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.● 5-10 years of related job experience.● Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment.● Ability to work quickly and efficiently.● Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required.● Experienced in providing leadership to others regarding work related systems, processes, and challenges.● Experience of interpreting strategy and policy in order to set and deliver objectives.● Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework.● Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Replenishment Planning preferred.● Must possess a thorough understanding of the distribution business.● Proficiency in supply chain management software and ERP systems.● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.● Strong planning and organization skills are required.Education:
