Position Purpose:

Manage the coordination of the surgical access specialists and their work with surgical leaders, case management and patient financial services to ensure proper pre-certification, documentation and coding are provided which impact denials.Specialty: Surgical Access SpecialistLocation: RemoteHours of office: Monday – Friday  

What You Will Do:

Oversight and management of the system surgical access process.

· Analyze information and create reports, scorecards and measures as appropriate.

· Regular communication with site finance, surgical, service line and other leaders as needed.

· Ensure necessary support is provided to Retro Review and Patient Financial Services to coordinate information retrieval for surgical related denials.

· Develop education plan, materials and ongoing support for the various stakeholders including physician offices, Patient Access Departments, Scheduling Offices, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelors Degree, preferably in Business Administration/Health Administration and /or continued education preferred.

· Experience: At least five years experience in a progressive health care organization's Business Office/Registration Office. Preferably in a multi-facility operation. At least three years supervisory experience in a progressive health care organization.
