**We are searching for the best talent for a Manager, Systems & Clinical Engineering position, to be located in Santa Clara, CA.**

**Job Summary:**
The Manager of Systems and Clinical Engineering is responsible for leading the definition of clinical workflow for Monarch indications and ensuring a system level design that satisfies the clinical needs. You will lead multi-functional teams to design and develop groundbreaking medical products! This is an excellent opportunity for you to have a key role bringing exciting new products to market while also providing the opportunity for professional growth. You will understand the system from both a technical perspective and the user’s viewpoint, and drive definition and development of the Monarch system. We are looking for a candidate who can lead a team, work well independently and cross-functionally. This candidate is self-motivated, curious, and passionate about revolutionizing the world of medical robotics!
**You will be responsible for:**
+ Lead systems engineering team for a complex medical device supporting feature ideation and research, feature design, design verification, design validation and complaint handling.
+ Lead clinical workflow development and ownership of design validation
+ Technical lead for complex robotic systems engineering across two product lines
+ Lead a team of 4-6 individual contributors
+ Define, establish, and implement system engineering best practices
+ Plan and lead multiple concurring projects
+ Lead cross-functional collaboration with hardware, software, and clinical engineering as well as adjacent stakeholder teams
+ Proactively identify program and technical risks, generate mitigation plans, and facilitate the closure of risks in collaboration with the R&D team
+ Ownership of clinical and system level requirements, risks, and technical input to system level tradeoffs.
+ Ensuring that unmet clinical needs are satisfied with novel, scalable, and robust engineering solutions.
+ Assist the management and maintenance of the system R&D laboratory space and its equipment
+ Hiring top talent and developing/coaching the team to meet their career objectives and meeting company priorities
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
+ BS/BA Degree required, (Masters preferred) in Biomedical, Electrical, Computer Science, Mechanical or any related field preferred.
+ 5+ years of leading technical teams is required.
+ System Engineering experience with large complex systems is required.
+ Experience developing clinical workflow and interfacing with physicians.
+ Experience engaging with suppliers and SOWs for complex electrical-mechanical components.
+ Demonstrated ability to think analytically, solve problems, make decisions, and use sound judgment backed by data while accommodating organizational constraints.
+ Thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with multiple priorities.
+ Organized with solid project management skills.
+ Outstanding written, oral, and presentation communications skills.
**Preferred Skills & Experience:**
+ Experience developing medical devices within FDA, ISO, and IEC requirements and guidelines including risk analysis and quality assurance.
+ 5+ years successfully developing and launching medical device products.
**Other Requirements:**
+ Ability to travel up to 10% required
California Bay Area - The anticipated base pay range for this position is $141,000 to $227,700
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
