Job Summary

The Manager, Systems Engineering is responsible for growing and leading a team responsible for the validation, characterization, firmware/software development, and release-to-production for SiTime’s revolutionary MEMS-based timing products. Responsibilities include project planning and coordination, mixed-signal characterization, systems/algorithms development, datasheet validation, performance feedback to MEMS/CMOS design, and prototyping of test and FA methodologies.   In addition, he/she will lead activities to develop hardware/software/firmware for automated high-throughput characterization and calibration of SiTime products.

Responsibilities:

Grow and develop a team of engineers responsible for product validation, characterization, firmware/software development, and release-to-production of MEMS-based timing productsDevelop hardware/software/firmware for automated characterization and calibrationInterface with cross-functional teams and manage projects across different sitesCreate and execute plans for verification and characterizationDevelop and carry out experiments to prototype new technologies and system architecturesSupport the bring-up of specialized programming systems overseasDevelop and transfer algorithms to final test/production environmentsWork with circuit design team to evaluate new silicon and specify design improvements for performance enhancements or DFM/DFTPerform engineering failure analysis to root cause product issues

Qualifications & Requirements:  

MS or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Exceptional candidates with other backgrounds will be considered10+ years of experience developing mixed-signal, MEMS, and/or sensor devices4+ years of experience leading engineering teams and achieving milestonesDeep understanding of mixed-signal circuitsHands-on familiarity with electronics laboratory instrumentsExcellent programming skills, including MATLAB scriptingExperience with circuit characterization, debug, automated testing and data collectionStrong written and oral communication skillsFirmware development experience preferred, but not requiredMEMS development experience preferred, but not required

 Base pay is one part of SiTime’s Total Rewards Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity-based compensation.
