This position is hybrid in nature at the discretion of the manager typically requiring 2-3 days/week on-site at Westinghouse Global Headquarters in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. Your Day-to-Day:
Manages Design Methods & Programs as a team for the Nuclear Plant Mechanical Engineering Department
Provides leadership oversight and manages all engineering scopes related to System Engineering & Special Programs from all Business Units encompassing operating plants and new plant developments Develop and execute workload planning to determine resource assignments for all BU demands Coordinates large scope proposals that require integrated department response Interfaces with technical leads to develop Nuclear Plant Mechanical Engineering digital design methods (e.g., Calc Note modernization effort, WISDM, WHIPS) and execute programs (e.g., EQ, ISI/IST, ASME program) Drives continuous improvement of products, processes, and/or procedures Oversee internally funded Nuclear Plant Mechanical Engineering design projects, leading coordination effort between groups within the department. Mentors and trains employees Sets day-to-day operational objectives for individuals or teams, ensures that policies and procedures are understood and followed Leverages knowledge of Westinghouse products as a differentiator to positively impact customer relationships Optimize spending to successfully manage budgets for assigned projects
Who You Are:
As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, Electrical, or Civil engineer preferred Minimum 10 years of applicable engineering or licensing experience Possesses knowledge of the AP1000 design, operation, and work processes Strong communication skills and an understanding of financial models Ability to organize and delegate work and ensure deliverables are completed on time with high quality Experience in making presentations and conducting meetings Strong Teamwork and leadership skills Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and lead performance of tasks under pressure
