Manager, Talent Operations
The Manager of Talent Operations is responsible for the ongoing progressive improvement of talent acquisition and management processes and practices The Manager of Talent Operations is responsible for the ongoing progressive improvement of Talent Acquisition processes and practices adopted throughout the organization. This role will lead and support a variety of talent-related projects across North America, facilitating development in areas such as Talent Acquisition, Candidate Journey experience from Awareness to Hire, Workday ATS Strategic Management, Pre-Employment Screening and Talent team training – in partnership with relevant departmental stakeholders throughout the organization.

Supporting the build of Talent Acquisition within the organization, the role will work closely with the Director, Talent Acquisition to support the operational success of all existing and future talent practices.



 

Key Responsibilities:

· ATS Strategy (Workday Recruiting):

o Serve as the central point of contact for the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Workday Recruitment.

o Collaborate with the HCM & Workday team to continue building on the Workday Recruitment Module, with semi-annual releases from Workday.

o Manage ATS and supporting Talent Vendors (LinkedIn, indeed, Pre-Employment Screening, etc.) and other operational relationships that integrate with ATS.

· Training:

o Support the training of the Talent Acquisition team and other organizational stakeholders on new tools, resources, and processes to ensure their success.

o Create and facilitate a “Train-The-Trainer” Program, in collaboration with the Learning & Development Manager, to adequately train and provide resources for our Talent Team, Hiring Managers, and Interviewers.

· Acquisitions – Hiring Manager Onboarding Support:

o With support from the Director of Talent, lead the acclimation of company acquisitions into GFL.

o Create and deliver new welcome and onboarding programs to all new Hiring Managers through the Talent Acquisition team.

· Project Management:

o Lead and contribute to project teams through the planning, design, operational optimization, change management, and communication of scalable Talent Acquisition programs.

· Pre-Employment Screening:

o Lead, grow, coach and support the North American Pre-Employment Screening Team

o Lead and contribute to Pre-Employment Screening planning, design, operational optimization, change management, and communication of scalable Pre-Employment Screening programs, including assessing current and future providers.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

· 4-5+ years’ experience in Full-Cycle Recruitment, including experience in leading, building, and refining a Talent Acquisition practice.

· University Degree/College Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study.

· Strong understanding of the end-to-end recruiting lifecycle and hiring processes and how to best optimize efficiency and quality for improved internal and external stakeholder experience.

· Prior experience working on projects in cross-functional teams, with relevant change management experience.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with external and internal teams.

· Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and projects under pressure and within respective deadlines.

· Highly adaptable with demonstrated experience building relationships across all levels of an organization and collaborating with teams across departments, locations, and with a variety of personalities.

· Strong moral and ethical judgment in decision-making, respecting people first with political and cultural sensitivity.

· Commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality.

· Ability to think strategically and proactively, with the capability to present findings to leadership teams.

· Strong computer literacy, including working skills of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

· Attention to detail in all areas of work.

· Must be willing/able to travel between Canada & US.
