Job Description Summary:

PayPal's Corporate Tax Department is seeking a Manager, Global Tax Reporting and Compliance, to join its Global Tax Reporting & Compliance Team. This role will work collaboratively with colleagues across Tax, Controllership, and Business teams, to support the preparation and review of the company's quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations for Mexico and other LATAM countries. Responsibilities will also include effective tax rate forecasting, analysis of proposed and enacted tax legislation, preparation of local income tax returns, audit support, and advising on business initiatives.

Job Description:

PayPal’s Corporate Tax Department is seeking a Manager of Global Tax Reporting and Compliance to join its Global Tax Reporting & Compliance Team. This role, reporting to the Director of US International Compliance, will work collaboratively with other members of the team, as well as PayPal's broader Tax department, Controllership, and Business teams to perform tax provision and tax compliance support functions.

You, the ideal candidate, will have the personal drive, passion, and enthusiasm to both understand and successfully navigate a fast-growing company in a rapidly evolving marketplace. You are a self-starter with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple completing priorities and deadlines.

Key responsibilities include the following for Mexico and other LATAM countries:

Assessment of current and changing Mexican tax law to PayPal businessesAnalysis and review of business initiativesCoordination and computation with local controllership of quarterly and annual US GAAP tax provisionsCoordination and computation with local controllership of quarterly and annual Statutory tax provisionsEvaluation of FIN 48 / IFRIC tax reserves and development of support computationsAssistance with compilation of support and review of local income tax returnsDetailed analysis of income tax return and audit support workpapersPillar 2 minimum tax computations and complianceCoordination with the local controllership team to provide data for local audit responses

Job Requirements

BA/BS in Accounting or Finance equivalent; CPA; Masters in Taxation preferred8+ years of progressive professional experience in ASC740 income tax accounting for publicly held multinational companiesExcellent tax accounting technical skills, analytical thinker, detail orientedAbility to collaborate as part of a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to effectively relate tax accounting issues to non-tax provision personnelFluent in Spanish and English required, ability to speak Portuguese is preferred but not requiredMexican tax background with familiarity of US tax concepts.  Familiarity with current OECD BEPS guidance, Pillar 2 and country by country reporting a plusResourcefulness and adaptability; self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent prioritization and organizational skillsExperience with Corptax, OneSource Tax Provision, and S4Hana/SAP a plus
