ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:
Technical Accounting Expertise:Analyze and interpret complex accounting standards under US GAAP and provide guidance on their application.Review non-standard contracts and conclude on appropriate accounting treatment.Ability to understand complex equity structures and familiarity with stock compensation.Financial Reporting:Prepare technical accounting position papers and memos for management and external auditors.Review financial statements and footnotes for compliance with applicable accounting standards.Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams (finance, legal, operations, purchasing, commercial finance) to assess the accounting implications of new transactions, contracts, and business initiatives.Provide training and support to finance staff on technical accounting matters.Audit Support:Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors on technical accounting issues and financial statement audits.Coordinate the preparation of schedules and documentation needed for audit processes.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance internal controls.Develop and maintain technical accounting policies and procedures.QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AccountingCPA required5-7 years of experience in public accounting and/or external financial reporting for a public companyExtensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirementsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage and develop othersCapable of leading large complex projectsAble to perform in a fast-paced environmentAbility to effectively communicate with foreign operationsWhy Lineage?
