Title: Manager, Technical Accounting

Location: Stamford, CT

Job Type: Full-Time/ Exempt

About the Role:  The Manager, Technical Accounting plays a pivotal role in executing the company's technical accounting initiatives, maintaining accounting policies, and educating stakeholders on compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements. This hands-on role requires a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.  This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, process-driven professional ready to lead in a collaborative and rapidly evolving environment.

What You’ll Do: 
Research and analyze technical accounting matters, including acquisitions, revenue recognition, leases, and share-based compensation.
Conduct ad hoc research on complex business transactions and provide recommendations to executive management.
Stay updated on emerging accounting standards and regulatory changes, evaluating their impact and preparing documentation.
Support the adoption of new accounting standards and maintain a repository of policies compliant with US GAAP.
Collaborate with the Director of Technical Accounting to advise on transaction impacts and optimize accounting practices.
Assist in SEC-compliant financial reporting, including consolidations and IFRS-to-GAAP conversions.
Enhance internal controls, improve accounting processes, and liaise with auditors.
Deliver technical accounting training and participate in special projects as needed.
    
What You’ll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA required. 4+ years of progressive accounting or financial reporting experience in a public company or public accounting firm. 1+ year of experience in SEC financial statement preparation or support under US GAAP. Strong technical accounting expertise with critical thinking and communication skills. Proven ability to manage priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment. Even Better If:Big 4 public accounting experience. Technical knowledge of CSE rules, IPO experience, and advanced Excel proficiency. Connecticut Hiring Range$130,000—$145,000 USD
