Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Manager, Technical Advisory & Policies will be the main contact for technical accounting matters. Key areas of responsibility include:\r\nResearch and analyze compliance with IFRS, and other international accounting standards.\r\nStay up to date and lead the planning and execution of implementation of new accounting standards, pronouncements, and policies.\r\nPrepare timely memos summarizing key accounting issues, conclusions, and policies. Provide technical accounting advisory and research complex accounting matters.\r\nImprove and maintain the Company\u2019s policies and procedures. \r\nCollaborate with Corporate and site teams, internal and external auditors, and other stakeholders to meet deadlines and resolve queries. \r\nPrepare financial statement disclosures related to technical accounting areas, perform quality control over.\r\nAssess the accounting impact of new business initiatives, transactions, and contracts with sites and finance teams. \r\nProvide guidance, document and perform calculations associated with complex transactions like mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures. \r\nIdentify and implement opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.\r\nLead the enhancement and improvement of the control environment throughout the entity and its subsidiaries.\r\nMentor and train team members (local and international) on technical accounting topics and present upcoming matters to senior management.\r\nLead or contribute to cross-functional projects, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.\r\n\r\n
