POSITION PURPOSE

Provides oversight of the technical maintenance programs such as the Cabin Interior Appearance and No Fault Found/Bad from Stock/Customer Induced Damage Investigation Programs.  Maintains the Minimum Equipment List and Configuration Deviation List as the Maintenance subject matter expert. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Manages programs, policies and procedures for maintenance activities pertaining to Cabin Appearance and No Fault Found, Bad from Stock or Customer Induced Damage.Develops a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates resources to the activities. Monitors the progress of projects and makes adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion. Oversees the overall status and condition of the Cabin Appearance Program and audits to ensure each codeshare’s contract requirements for cabin interior are met.Collaborates with Reliability and Engineering to improve reliability, reduce cost, and drive partnered continuous improvements.Manages Repair Vendors and Original Equipment Manufacturers in improving reliability.Collaborates with Flight Operations and co-maintains the Minimum Equipment List and Configuration Deviation list as the subject matter expert.  Ensures safety and airworthiness of aircraft by providing support to all areas of maintenance and quality assurance.Provides technical support to Managers of MRO Services, Warranty, Materials Planning and other departments as required.Investigates issues discovered in daily delay meetings for process improvement.  Evaluates and updates current procedure enhancements.  Manages special projects and programs as assigned.Serves as a liaison with Embraer for technical issues with the fleet.Fosters the Company’s core values and culture throughout the work environment.Screens, interviews and makes recommendations for hiring potential associates.  Coaches and provides leadership, direction, motivation and supervision of direct reports.  Appraises performance, provides performance feedback, takes corrective actions and oversees training and development of staff.Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability necessary to perform this job.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Specialty training beyond high schoolAt least 5 years of airline auditing or maintenance experience or related area.  Experience in analyzing data and drawing conclusions.Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

PREFERRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Experience working with aircraft interiors.Experience working with repair vendors and Original Equipment Manufacturers.Airframe and Powerplant license.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

REASONING/PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

DECISION MAKING

Makes decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies.  Impact of decisions is moderately low.
