Manager, Technology Solutions and Digital Products - Scottsdale/Remote

Overview:

The Manager of Visibility will be responsible for defining the vision for our customer- facing visibility platform. In this role you will be managing the product backlog, collaborating with development teams, and working closely with solution teams to ensure the successful delivery of the product.

Our visibility platform provides an end-to-end view of where our customer’s orders and shipments are and when they will arrive at the final destination -- across all shipping modes. Exceptions-based work queues and alerts enable our customers to make focused decisions about their supply chain. It also features an integrated custom report builder features a selection of more than 1000 data attributes, allowing them to create customized, comprehensive order-level operational reports.

As we are global company, there are times where there is a need to collaborate with colleagues in other time zones, so occasional meetings outside of typical working hours can occur. 

Responsibilities:

Strategy and Planning: 

Develop and execute the product strategy and roadmap. Conduct market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape. Manage the product budget, including forecasting and planning for future development costs.

Product Development: 

Define, track, and report on key product performance metrics. Oversees backlog for development. Assist in prioritizing features, enhancements, and data initiatives based on customer needs, and internal priorities. Guide the development of new features and enhancements by working closely with the technical development team. Use Agile development framework and RACI for tracking responsibilities.

Stakeholder Management: 

Collaborate with various stakeholders including customers, sales, marketing, and development teams. Engage with customers to gather feedback and understand their needs.

Team Management:

Manage team of specialists (1-3) focused on managing other, related products Provide guidance and point of escalation Ensure a collaborative, supportive environment for individual and team growth

Qualifications:

Experience

Preferred Minimum of 5+ years of experience in product management. Preferred Experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain sectors. Preferred Proven experience in managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle. Preferred Working on enterprise-level platforms. Preferred Experience leading a team or managing people

Skills

Preferred Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Excellent written and verbal communication. Preferred Understanding of UX design and user-friendly products Preferred Able to manage a product backlog and work with stakeholders to prioritize tasks. Preferred Familiarity with common tools in the product space such as Jira, Figma, Monday.com, etc.

Candidates must be within 250 miles of an APL Logistics facility or office.

The typical starting salary range for this position is: $98,280 - $130,000.

The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.
