Manager, Territory Planning & Analytics

About the Role:

Global Sales Strategy & Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates who sell to every major function, industry and market sector around the world.

The Manager role is part of the Territory Planning & Analytics (TP&A) team in GSSO. The TP&A team is focused on designing the optimal territory investment, design and alignment strategy to maximize Sales (and Services) productivity.

The individual in this role will lead a small group of associates and be responsible for leading the strategic planning and implementation of processes to support key Gartner initiatives focused on driving revenue growth by adding additional salesforce and finding viable selling opportunities.

What you will do:

Strategic Planning

Partner with sales leadership, other teams to align on go-to market strategy, sales forecasts and map them onto the team’s processes

Identify, co-ordinate and finalize third-party vendors based on requirements, budget and other constraints

Optimize existing process to deliver faster results and improve quality

Take the team towards digital transformation by supporting and with the Automation team to find pockets of opportunity

Analyse trends, data, and competitive landscape to create identify opportunities for salesforce expansion

Project Management

Run business-critical sales processes

Understand and deliver the sales operations process working closely with marketing, finance, and HR BUs

Ensure improvement and compliance of sales critical processes

Timely and accurate assignment of people & roles ensuring sales is not delayed

Manage and coordinate team projects, test of new processes, and help with system enhancements

Leadership & Collaboration

Document processes and coordinate cross-training

Day to day management of 3-4 associates promoting teamwork, customer service, and individual development

What you will need:

MBA with 6+ years of experience in the field of Client Management, Sales Prospecting, Inside Sales or Service Operations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of third-party prospecting tools is a plus

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and dynamic team environment.

Strong time management skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines with accurate results, even in high-pressure situations

Possess the ability to communicate and present with confidence to a diverse audience at various levels and different cultures within the organization

Exceptional listening skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, a team player and teacher with the ability to build strong internal business partnerships supporting the direction in which the company is heading
