The Manager of Third Party Governance and Partner Management, International Acquisition CoE, ICS will be responsible for identifying, owning, and evaluating the relationships with our key onboarding partners across the International Markets. Working in close collaboration with local market teams, Operational Excellence, New Product Development, the partners (namely Arkwright), and EDDS, the remit is focused on ensuring we can continue to leverage third party partners for Onboarding activities with the right level of business risk.

Reporting to the Director Alternative Onboarding Models, Acquisition CoE ICS, this role will suit someone who enjoys working in a diverse, fast-paced team, focused on building the future for American Express. 

How will you make an impact in this role?

You'll be responsible for the ownership and management of the governance framework for our Onboarding partners and expected to deliver results to:

 Own the strategy and evaluation framework to determine the scope and risk tradeoffs of working with third parties, including responsibility for alignment with Senior ICS Leadership Foster strong relationships with third party partners to achieve mutual success and align objectives for long-term growth and collaboration Ensure ongoing governance as it relates to these key third parties, including TLM, AEMP54, PRSA, etc.  Monitor ongoing performance of the third parties and explore expansion of third party strategy for ICS Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential gaps and develop strategies to mitigate business risks effectively Support contract negotiation for additional services with these partners Minimum Qualifications:  Tenured Marketing professional with experience in third party management and experience or knowledge of existing third party governance practices Strong technical understanding of onboarding experiences Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including comfort with presenting to senior leaders Empathy for customer, colleagues, and ability to see multiple perspectives and foster the diversity and multicultural environment we embrace as a company Preferred Qualifications:  Positive and energetic attitude and work ethic  A creative thinker who concisely articulates new ideas, persuades and gains followership, especially as it relates to operational process innovation Ability to progress key projects in a complex and environment and manage multiple stakeholders simultaneously Strong project management skills Extensive knowledge of American Express Cards products, services, and benefits, and/or understanding of the Financial Services Industry Experience working/living in non-native countries or cultures is encouraged, but not required
