The Compensation team is responsible for the analysis and implementation of compensation policies and procedures which are consistent with the organization's overall reward strategy. Develops implements and administers compensation such as salaries, short- and long-term incentives, job evaluations, salary increases and salary surveys.

This role in summary

Whirlpool is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill a critical Manager, Total Rewards position located at our Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michigan  The Manager, Total Rewards is responsible for developing and implementing total rewards programs that align with the company's business objectives and attract, retain, and motivate top talent. This role supports a wide range of compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, variable pay, equity compensation, retirement plans, health and welfare benefits, and wellness programs. #LI-DD1

Your responsibilities will include

Strategy Development / Project Management:

Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive compensation and benefits packages; effectively partner with HR and the Business to manage, consult, and resolve compensation issues through the use of creative and strategic guidance and undertake and perform special projects and assignments as assigned

Program Design and Administration:

Design, implement, and manage a variety of compensation and benefits programs, including base pay, variable pay, equity compensation, retirement plans, health and welfare benefits, and wellness programs; oversee the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; support the annual pay planning process, including market pricing, merit planning, and short-term incentive planning and accurately interpret, counsel, communicate, and educate HR and people leaders on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretations, job evaluations, and job descriptions

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Research best practices and trends and perform analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing total rewards programs and present to management findings and alternative solutions that are cost-effective and consistent with Whirlpool’s objectives; prepare regular reports on compensation and benefits costs, utilization, and effectiveness; conduct benchmarking studies to ensure competitive positioning and conduct analysis related to cost and trends and provide analytical data management support for measurement and tracking of total rewards HR-related metrics. Develop techniques for compiling and preparing data for senior management.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including FLSA, ERISA, HIPAA, and IRS regulations, and identify and mitigate potential risks associated with compensation and benefits programs.

Minimum requirements Bachelor's degree3+ years of experience in compensation, total rewards, or human resourcesPreferred skills and experiences Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or Economics Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis tools5+ years of experience in total rewards, including compensation, benefits, and global mobility.Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a matrix environment and managing multiple stakeholdersExperience with manufacturing workforceA reputation for discretion, integrity, judgment, responsiveness, strong attention to detail, and common sense Strong analytical and financial management skills, with the ability to assess the cost-effectiveness and ROI of benefits programs.Creative thinking and continuous improvement mindsetProficient in Google apps (Google docs, etc.)What we offer
