The Manager of Trade Operations will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of MTPA’s Trade function, including Specialty Distributors, Specialty Pharmacies, and select HUB activities. This role requires strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects while promoting teamwork. The Manager will also independently lead initiatives to help the organization meet its strategic goals.
This individual will work closely with internal trade team and external vendors to cultivate strong partnerships, ensure smooth operational processes, and drive progress toward company objectives.
**Responsibilities**
+ Oversee daily operations involving trade vendors, including data management, orders, chargebacks, and returns.
+ Monitor distributor inventory levels and coordinate with distributors to ensure appropriate stock levels.
+ Establish and maintain strong relationships with key 3PL vendors and distributor buyers.
+ Analyze Trade data and create reports for stakeholders across various departments using multiple data sources.
+ Serve as the primary contact for the MTPA team regarding inventory, fulfillment, and return inquiries.
+ Collaborate with trade vendors to address operational issues and resolve problems efficiently.
+ Audit vendor data for accuracy and escalate discrepancies when necessary.
+ Coordinate with internal departments, including Finance, Quality, Commercial Operations, and IT, to support trade operations.
+ Manage and oversee the returns process, ensuring accurate reporting and clear communication throughout the organization.
+ Travel as required to visit vendors, attend conferences, and participate in Specialty Pharmacy (SP) meetings.
+ Develop, communicate, and implement effective written and verbal communication strategies, training materials, and strategic initiatives.
+ Coordinate the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process to facilitate productive, well-prepared meetings, ensuring alignment on key objectives and actionable outcomes.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree required
+ Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience in Trade operations or equivalent vendor partner management.
+ Strong background in Trade operations, particularly with 3PLs, Distributors, Specialty Pharmacies, and Retail Pharmacies.
+ Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams from finance, IT, sales, marketing, market access, patient services, and senior leadership.
+ Highly detail-oriented with excellent follow-up and organizational skills.
+ Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including monitoring patient access and support service metrics.
+ Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing objectives.
+ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
+ Experience with Trade data sets (867, 852, 844) and familiarity with data aggregators like IntegraChain or ValueCentric is preferred.
+ Must be able to travel 25% of the time to vendor visits and industry-related events.

The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $130,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary may be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state and depending on the role), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
This position is eligible to participate in our annual Short-Term Incentive (STI) program. Specific information about the plan including eligibility rules and target, will be furnished upon hire.
