What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for the management of the academic and training programs in compliance with government and management directives.

Essential functions: 

Monitor and manage all instructors with the training department to ensure full compliance regarding teaching strategies and classroom management.  Assist in the preparation of the department budget, monitor and control expenditures, and review and recommend changes to budget authorization. Ensure classroom observations are completed on a quarterly basis using the MTC classroom observation form.  Ensure the use of TABE diagnostic for student placement in reading and math classrooms. Ensure all members receive the necessary training for their position including teaching strategies, classroom methodology, and interactive teaching. 

QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIRED AND REQUESTED SKILLS:

Bachelor’s degree- Directly related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.  Three (3) years related experience, one (1) of which must be in a supervisory capacity.  Experience developing individual accommodation plans for clients with mental health, physical, and learning disability and experience developing linkages with disability and mental health agencies is preferred.   Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
