Southwire Job DescriptionThe Training Manager will develop and implement comprehensive training programs that address the plant’s operational and safety needs. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing training initiatives that enhance team member skills, promote a culture of safety, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The Training Manager will design, refine, and oversee training strategies, policies, and procedures to support the ongoing development and success of team members at the West Georgia area distribution facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Analyzes training programs and recommends improvements to enhance engagement, learning retention, and effectiveness while adapting to the changing needs of the organization Manages existing training programs leading enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the organization Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective Maintain knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization, while conducting and facilitating the required training sessions Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs Maintain training records and learning metrics within the business unit, providing insight and recommendations to drive business and talent needs Collaborates closely with the corporate training group on new cross training and skilling up plans Lead and/or participate in initiatives that include, but are not limited to, Six Sigma projects, Kaizen events, or other lean activities Work alongside People & Culture (HR) on position development programs, talent management, performance management, and succession planning initiatives Manages training resources to align training programs across multiple facility locations
