What You’ll Do
Working with the Director of User Experience to prioritize work, you’ll lead UX designers to create smart design solutions that delight customers while delivering measurable business value. Specifically, you will:
Facilitate design workshops, using design thinking techniques to explore user needs and design concepts from multiple perspectives.Partner with research and analytics teams to identify improvements and evaluate the effectiveness of the solutions.Collaborate to develop, roll out and reinforce new UX processes.Promote close collaboration between UX team members and Product, Engineering and other teams.Leverage and extend our design system to promote brand consistency and re-use of functional components across products.Represent your team’s needs within the Cox Automotive’s UX governance group.Elevate new design scenarios for feedback and potential standardization.Present design work to peers and business leaders.Help designers develop project plans, monitoring progress and status.Conduct employee performance reviews and set goals with your team to foster career growth.
Who You Are
An independent self-starter with excellent leadership skills, you’re committed to the details and consistent follow-through on tasks. You have a portfolio of work that demonstrates the effectiveness of your design solutions, and how you manage user needs and achieve business results. Here’s what else you bring to the table:
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year experience in a related field; or 10 years’ experience in a related field 1+ year of experience in management or lead role6+ years of hands-on design experience creating wireframes, prototypes and related design documentation for web and mobile experiences.1+ years of experience directly managing UX resources under aggressive deadlines.Experience in iterative software delivery methodologies.Experience working with engineering and product teams. Knowledge of UX design strategies and trends across web and mobile platforms.Proficiency with leading design tools, including Figma.Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.Excellent time-management skills.
