POSITION SUMMARY:
Effectively and efficiently manage and oversee the centralized warehousing and distribution operation for goods and services. This includes managing multiple storage and inventory locations for all Melco properties in Macau. The role requires a leader and role model who can solve problems, make informed decisions and manage the team wisely in order to achieve maximum results.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all warehouse operations of Melco properties in Macau.Develop a business plan to ensure objectives and outcomes are identified and met, including improvement initiatives that impact organization wide with regard to the inventory and distribution of stock.Develop, maintain and review Standard Operating Procedures within the Warehouse environment to ensure that the business unit complies with company policy and procedure.Oversight of all primary warehouse facilities as well as secondary off-site facilities.Manage, identify, coach and develop team to ensure performance and succession requirements are met. This would include participating in performance reviews, identifying development needs, and sourcing appropriate programs through Human Resources.Ensure stock is securely maintained to meet customer needs and inventory budgets.Participate in and monitor, rotating stock takes to ensure accuracy, delivery and distribution of stock.Source, identify and utilize loss prevention practices to minimize variances.Manage the staff roster to ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained in line with financial year budget forecasts.Ensure stock holdings are properly maintained, including rotation, monitoring slow movers and in accordance with HACCP guidelines.Ensure Occupational Safety & Health practices are maintained and monitored.Prepare monthly reports on the status and operation of the department.Liaise and communicate with external suppliers and internal clients.Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.Manage and dispose of obsolete, surplus and damaged equipment, furniture and other material.Ensure smooth cooperation between Receiving and Warehouse team membersAssist in the recruitment and hiring of the most qualified applicants to meet the needs of the department.Train, coach and manage all warehouse associates in all policies and procedures of the company.Oversee and participate in the timely receipt and distribution of all incoming and outgoing deliveries according to Company standards.Constant communication with EVS, Stewarding & Food Safety team to ensure area is clean and in accordance with HACCP standardsProvide any support or data to Director and/or Senior Manager if neededYearly successful HACCP certificationKEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
Wastage and spoilage reports on a monthly basis are below 0.05% of inventory valuationStock shorts and outs are less than 10 per month.Inventory turns are within 12 -14.Monthly report of warehouse operations turnover percentage and key data KPIsQUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
Proven experience and achievements in a distribution centre environmentOHSA and HACCP experienceCurrent knowledge using and implementing electronic trading technologyKnowledge in inventory management and procurement ERP systemsAt least 5 Year experience in warehousing & logisticsEducation
Diploma or above.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Materials Management or related Warehouse Management will be an added advantage.Skills / Competencies
Exceptional time management skillsCommunicate fluently in English, Cantonese & MandarinCertification in the operation of forklifts and pallet jacks will be an added advantageExcellent communication skillsComputer literacy – Windows, Word, ExcelCreative and open personality; ability to think differently.Good analytical skills, conflict resolution skills, problem solving and resolutionStrong interpersonal skills with ability to influence associates of all disciplines
