RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position manages the IT Services personnel, assets and activities involved in planning, architecting, implementing, maintaining, monitoring and supporting End Point Delivery, Service Desk and IT Operations functions.
The position has responsibility for ensuring these components remain in compliance with standards and regulations, documentation is maintained, and the devices and services are efficient, effective, secure, available, reliable, recoverable, and scalable. The position works closely with Director of Infrastructure & IT operations, as well as other IT and business leadership to set and execute both the short term tactical and longer-term strategic direction of the these areas. Ultimately the position is responsible for understanding the goals, objectives and requirements of business units and ensuring the necessary technologies, standards, support, measures and metrics are provided in these focus areas to help achieve business goals. Examples includes the following:
Device Provisioning: Setting up new devices with the necessary operating systems, applications, and configurations before they are handed over to end-users.Asset management: Tracking and managing all hardware and software assets used by end-users within an organization.Security Management: Implementing security measures such as antivirus software, firewalls, and encryption to protect endpoints from threats.Software Deployment: Installing and updating software applications on endpoints to ensure they have the latest features and security patches.Monitoring and Maintenance: Continuously monitoring the health and performance of endpoints and performing regular maintenance to prevent issues.Support and Troubleshooting: Providing technical support to end-users to resolve any issues they encounter with their devices.Incident and Problem Management: Acting as the front-line support for end user computing incidents. Working with IT operations teams to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve incidents that disrupt end user computing to restore normal service operation as quickly as possible, then identifying and managing the root causes of incidents to prevent their recurrence.IT Operational monitoring: Continuously monitoring IT operational dashboards and services, taking actions to resolve unplanned events or escalate as prescribed for resolution.Focus Technology: IT Service Desk, 24x7x365 IT Operations and End Point management.
Lead and manage the personnel and resources of the teams responsible for Focus Technology above.Develop and set the strategic direction for the Focus Technology platforms and associated core services ensuring. alignment with current and future goals, objectives and strategies of IT Services as well as the Hormel Foods enterprise. Ensure tactical planning is accomplished at all levels of your team and then executed to achieve toward the strategic vision.Ensure maintenance for the Hormel Foods’ platforms and services for the Focus Technology is achieved.Ensure support and problem resolution is accomplished for the Focus Technology platforms and services.QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
An appropriate bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a related field or 10+ years’ experience engineering, deploying, and supporting enterprise infrastructure.Proven experience leading and managing multi-layered technical teams of scale (30-50 individuals), to ensure accountability.Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure for Focus Technology as well as more broadly across other IT disciplines.Experience with strategy development and communication.A strong pattern of initiative and technical innovation, proven problem solving, decision making and project management skills, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.Excellent organizational, time management skills, well-developed written and verbal communication skills.Ability to understand and navigate the complexities of operating a standards-based framework.Experience overseeing managed services to deliver against organization goals.Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.Preferred

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $125,800- $176,200 per year, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
