Your mission

The Manager, Performance specialist will oversee a team of Business Performance Specialists by prioritizing their work, tracking their progress, coaching them, and supporting their professional development. You will be responsible for enhancing the team's analytical capabilities by monitoring the performance of all business units at CAE, comparing efficiencies with previous years and other businesses, and measuring the performance of our Capex investments. 

Responsiblities:

People Management 

Lead a team of Business Performance Specialists and create an environment for them to increase overall analytical capabilities of the Civil Performance Team.Create additional value for the Performance Team by establishing a highly efficient team of analysts to evaluate business performance and ongoing project performance.Prioritize backlog and delegate analytical requests to the team based on value added by their analysis. Support Performance Team as well as Business Units, when needed, with their analytics requirements.Coach team members and manage their performance with a focus on results and engagement.

Project Management

Project Manage a portfolio of key strategic business improvement initiatives within the Performance Team to meet our performance targets.Develop and enforce the governance, tracking, and accountability specific to key business improvement initiatives by establishing effective management.Identify the right leading and lagging KPIs to ensure complete visibility on the business.Adapt the project management tools and dashboard reports to fit clearly within the context of the initiative, while still maintaining a common frame that translates across the transformation.Work with Finance to establish systematized, financial tracking of progress against metrics, supported by dashboard.

Stakeholders Management

Build relationships with business unit, including but limited to sales, operations, revenue management, products, project management, business development leaders and all other civil functions including customers and industry partners.Present Project progress to Senior Leadership on a quarterly basis, including detailed financials. Provide strategic input in defining and refining the direction of the long-term transformation. Facilitate embedding transformation plans into business plans to ensure the two are aligned. Support overall Performance objective to generate revenue-management and sales key metrics for the Civil business globally to achieve yearly plan.Conduct specific data analysis effort to support process improvements, decision making, business performance or sales efforts.  Support executive team with required inputs on annual budgets & strategic planning .

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, finance, engineering or a related field. 8+ years of experience in performance management, including 5 years in management. Strong ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve performance targets. Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and make informed decisions. Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders. Ability to work in a very fast-paced and dynamic environment with constant changes. Proficiency in performance management software. Ability to translate business strategies into practical performance management systems. Strong communication and presentation skills. Bilingualism, both oral and written.
