Grow, develop and mentor leaders & technologists. Build technical & leadership pipeline for the team; execute strategic and tactical workforce planning. + Own, manage & meet all functional budgets, execute to the allocated budget while meeting business schedule/on-time delivery and quality. + Create technical concepts, specifications for software and implement design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements + Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project + Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with Organizational quality system practices and procedures + Point of direct customer contact and like to make the variety of new solutions as well as adaptations to existing applications. + Contribute to organizational initiatives towards optimizing and standardizing processes and technology improvements + Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments + Participate as a presenter / reviewer in technical and program reviews + Participate / Support Design validation in end customer sites in India & Abroad **Qualification / Requirement:** + Bachelor / Masters in Engineering in Computer Science/Electronics/Electricalengineering + 12 to 18 years of experience in software design and development of which at least 3 years as a team leader in a development team + Deep understanding of CATO assessment process. + Strong technical aptitude, and expertise in applicable engineering tools and systems + Effective Oral and Written communication skills + Strong interpersonal and leadership skills + Proven history in delivering high quality software products utilizing programming languages C/C++(14/17), Python, under embedded Linux / Windows operating environment + Willing to travel to end customer sites in India & Abroad **Desired Characteristics:** + Experience with System requirements analysis, and Software Development according to IST 669 and related documents, including validation in Laboratory will be an added advantage + Expertise in object-oriented design and programming – using UML with tools like Enterprise Architect will be an advantage + Good understanding of Network technologies (L2/L3), IT security + Good experience of developing software with IDEs, + Experience with configuration management tools like Perforce/SVN/GitHub, etc… + Experience in all phases of the product engineering/development cycle in addition to practical experience with the SEIs CMM / CMMI + Knowledge of Italian or French languages is an added advantage. **Our Commitment to Embrace Diversity:** Wabtec is a global company that invests not just in our products, but also our people by embracing diversity and inclusion.
