Inviting applications for the role of Manager, R2R – Tax and Treasury
Tyson Europe’s business model involves a number of legal entities with multiple VAT registrations and corresponding tax obligations in several jurisdictions (e.g. filing of tax returns, tax audits, transfer pricing, coordination with external tax consultants). This position is leading these activities in order to comply with the various tax obligations but is also accountable for the active shaping of our tax structure.
Responsibilities
This position is primarily responsible for leading Tyson’s tax team in Europe.
Reporting to Senior Director Tax, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the coordination and review of income tax return and VAT filings for the European entities.
Other responsibilities include providing the corporate tax team with required information related to US quarterly income tax accounting and annual tax return reporting, leading local tax audits, transfer pricing, various planning/restructuring projects, working with team members and issues in European countries and performing tax research.
The candidate must have good analytical skills and a good knowledge of income tax accounting and European corporate tax law.
Strong communication, management, and interpersonal skills are essential to this position.
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Experience in the field of corporation income taxation or related fields preferably specific to the area of international taxation. Prior experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is a plus.
Computer Skills: strong Excel aptitude, ability to efficiently learn and work with SAP, and perform technical research using CCH or other tax research tools.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Education/Certifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting or related field required. CPA or similar European designation is preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Special Skills: Ability to multi-task, good interpersonal skills, corporate international income tax knowledge and an understanding of financial statements.
Supervisory Responsibilities: 2 - 3 senior accountants, accountants or interns.
Travel: 0 to 3 trips per year.
