Key Responsibilities:

The Manager of Flight Standards Quality Control plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of pilot training and standards at United Airlines. This position is dedicated to ensuring that all training processes, materials, guidance, and tools are fully compliant with both company policies and regulatory requirements. With a strong emphasis on project management and data analytics, the role involves monitoring and analyzing quality metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Manager utilizes tools such as Power BI and MS Project to facilitate data-driven decision-making and uphold the highest standards in pilot training.

Lead and manage projects within the Flight Operations Quality Control department, ensuring timely completion and alignment with strategic objectives through the use of tools like MS ProjectCoordinate and oversee quality control observations for training staff, ensuring strict adherence to both internal and external standardsSupervise the administration of processes designed to ensure calibration and continuous development of QC Observers, ensuring consistent and accurate quality assessments, completion of remediation, and associated QC recordkeeping across all training programsUtilize data analytics tools (ex. Power BI, Spotfire, Palantir Foundry, etc.) to collect, analyze, and report on key quality metrics, driving insights that support continuous improvement initiativesFoster and maintain strong relationships with instructors, evaluators, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on quality standardsDevelop and deliver/present high-quality presentations and program management artifacts for routine use both within the team and to senior Flight Operations leadership
