Location: Newark Beth Israel Medical Ctr, 201 LYONS AVENUE, NEWARK, NJ 07112-2027 Job Title:Quality Project Manager Location:Newark Beth Israel Medical Center Req#:0000195381 Status:Full-Time Shift:Day Department name:Cardiac Surgery Job Overview: The Quality Project Manager (QPM), guided by the direction of CT Surgery Leadership, identifies areas of improvement, creates performance improvement initiatives, and supports and monitors PI projects from the implementation through completion. The QPM utilizes their advanced reporting skills in order to pull relevant data from multiple platforms to analyze current, past, and future projected performance status. Qualifications: Required: + Graduate Degree Preferred in a Healthcare Related Field 5 +Years of experience in healthcare data analytics and/or quality improvement management preferred + Experience with visual analytics platforms + Advanced speadsheet skills + RN or equivalent clinical experience preferred Preferred: Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable): + N/A Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions): + Full-Time + Day + 37.5 Essential Functions: + Mains and supports communication to all sites of quality initiatives and outcomes + Provides data and information for OPPE/FPPE processes + Compiles and reports information related to all activities for department based quality initiatives + Facilitates expert assessments and/or performs case review/root cause analysis Provides detailed summaries of clinical outcomes when required + Oversees and coordinates all activities for Department of CTS for M & M Develops and leads new performance improvement initiatives as determined by the department leadership + Provides information for Medical staff credentialing Maintains minutes and provides information to support all quality activities + Provides project management, planning, analysis, direction, operational support, and coordination for the CT Surgery Dept as directed by Cardiac surgery leadership team Assists with meeting schedules, quality meetings and other tasks. Participates in strategic planning for department. + Generates and communicates new ideas and suggestions that improve quality. Evaluates, selects and acts on various methods and strategies for solving problems Coordinates with key leaders of departments to facilitate and oversee meetings related to performance improvement within the CT Surgery Department such as Morbidity and Mortality Meetings.
