Manager Accountant, Assurance

Overview:

Responsibilities: 

Become familiar with The Bonadio Group's policies and procedures Develop positive working relationships with clients as well as with internal co-workers Perform comprehensive risk assessments based upon the understanding of our clients to identify and assess risks of material misstatement Recommend changes to client’s policies and control environment that positively enhance our client’s operations Work on complex audit areas and lead analysis.Prepare client correspondence including communications to Those Charged with Governance and observations included as management letter comments. Oversee the efforts of client service teams on client engagements, while managing and mentoring staff and senior accountantsRecognize the opportunity to provide new services to our clients and work with Firm experts to pursue such growth opportunities Retain and develop new clients, including cultivate opportunities to cross-sell the firm’s full range of client services Handle and manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects and engagements on time, within budget and to the client’s satisfaction, Continual learning of rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA and pronouncements of the FASB, GASB, AICPA, and PCAOB, as necessary 

 
Qualifications: 

Required: 

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting CPA certification A minimum of six years of related experience Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Outlook Proven ability to provide mentoring, leadership, and examples of development of team members 

Preferred:  

Experience with ProSystems Engagement software Experience with Thomson Reuters PPC assurance methodology Experience with Caseware’s OnPoint EBP software Involvement with community and/or professional organizations 

Hours of Operation: 

Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday   We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
