**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled **Manager Accounting to** join our Fin Sys Int Proc & User team.
The preference for this role is to be based out of **Whitefield, Bangalore office**
Incumbent will provide expertise on complex Caterpillar business, financial or managerial issues within a business unit or corporate environment
**What you will do**
Manages the Financial systems user support processes of various applications and other accounting functions of the organization.
Incumbent will provide expertise on complex Caterpillar business, financial or managerial issues within a business unit or corporate environment. Additionally, this position will/must:
+ Have the ability to analyze and understand impact and have a broader perspective on specific accounting issues. This requires a comprehensive understanding of Caterpillar’s accounting policies and procedures.
+ Act as a teacher on accounting issues to staff accountants as well as non-accountants
+ Resolve issues independently
+ Lead and/or direct teams within or outside of discipline addressing complex problems
+ Take full responsibility for outcomes
Specific areas of responsibility include:
+ Support Finance Process and Technology Implementations, including those aligned to Business Unit Strategic Agendas, maintaining adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and controls
+ Support FSD Strategic Projects in the Financial Systems/Technology space
+ Support the development, implementation, and execution of a Finance Cutover Methodology when Deploying Financial Systems across the Corporation, ensuring stability in our financial reporting integrity
+ Recommends Finance process designs and business justification decisions to Enterprise and Proxy Process Owners
+ Coordinates with appropriate parties to help validate business controls are integrated into Finance process design and/or technology implementations
+ Have a comprehensive understanding of Caterpillar’s business and finance practices, systems and procedures
+ Work on a matrix-oriented organization, and lead small cross functional teams
Areas of support include:
•Legal Entity Reporting & Analysis (US GAAP / Non-US GAAP)
•Accountable Reporting
•Financial Systems strategic projects

**Degree Requirement**
Degree or equivalent experience desired. Certified Accountant (CA/CMA) preferred.
**Skills desired:**
