As a *Manager Accounting* you will lead and manage the development, enforcement, and management of policies and procedures, including controls, of the Vendor Invoice Management & Analysis (VIM&A) department. Execute strategic projects, drive continuous improvements, resolve problems, encourage superior customer service, and streamline processes. Identify staff training and development needs and provide/recommend appropriate guidance and training. * Oversee monthly close processes and ensure proper accounting treatment and timeliness. * Work collaboratively with cross functional departments to accomplish strategic goals. * Oversee all special projects assigned within the department. * Delegate assignments/tasks according to direct reports’ knowledge/skill level and follow them through to completion. * Understand and be able to interpret the rules and regulations around Valero’s information reporting requirements including 1099’s and 1042’s. This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay. **Qualifications:** *Minimum Requirements: * * Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Accounting required. * 10 years of Accounting experience required. * 3 years of managerial/supervisory experience required. * Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero San Antonio location, required. *Preferred Requirements:* * CPA preferred. * Master’s degree preferred. * Refining and/or petrochemical experience with some knowledge of VIM process preferred. * SAP experience preferred. * Experience managing an operational accounting or finance team preferred.
