JOB DESCRIPTION

·        Scouting and identifying new automation opportunities:

o   Market and technology scouting: continuously explore and evaluate new automation technologies and equipment for potential implementation within Adient’s operations.

o   Nurturing and driving future development: act as a liaison between scouting activities and implementation teams, ensuring that promising technologies are assessed, tested, and effectively integrated.

·        Strategic planning and execution:

o   Develop tactical plans: create and implement specific action plans based on company strategy to drive automation initiatives.

o   Monitor and report: provide technical analysis reports on automation project results in various forums, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic goals.

·        Project management and leadership:

o   Leading automation projects: take ownership of automation projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and achievement of key performance indicators.

o   Cross-functional coordination: coordinate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure that automation initiatives are well-integrated and supported across the organization.

·        Supporting and enhancing existing CoE teams and regional teams:

o   Collaboration with CoEs: work alongside existing CoE team (JIT, Metal & Mechanical, Foam & Trim) to complement their efforts, ensuring that automation initiatives are scalable and sustainable across APAC sites.

o   Regional Support: provide targeted support to regions to overcome specific operational bottlenecks and enhance overall plant performance.

·        Focused automation efforts within Ops Ex Team:

o   Integration with Continuous Improvement: collaborate with the CI team to ensure that automation projects align with broader continuous improvement strategies.

o   Intelligent manufacturing and Adient manufacturing system: partner with the intelligent manufacturing and AMS team to integrate automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and data management.
