Position Summary 

The Manager Artwork Development is responsible to supervise the Artwork team and is accountable for timely and compliant delivery of artwork for printed packaging materials as per project plans for launches and labeling variations. 

Key Responsibilities 

Department Leadership: Supervise and manage the daily business activities of the department. 

Team Management: Manage a team consisting of Artwork Designers, Coordinators and Artwork Proofreaders. 

Knowledge Sharing: Support and share knowledge with team members, including apprentices, interns, and contractors. 

Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments within the company network on artwork/packaging projects and improvements. 

Technical Coordination: Coordinate the technical aspects for new product launches and regulatory labeling variations. 

Planning Consolidation: Consolidate plans for new product launches and regulatory labeling variations. 

Technical Definitions and Information Collection: Define technical specifications for artwork and printed packaging materials and collect necessary information for new launches and variations. 

Artwork and Packaging Development Management: Manage artwork preparation, modification, and packaging development. 

Regulatory and Partner Support: Partner and support regulatory markets, internal sites, CMOs, and printer suppliers. 

Deployment of Approved Artwork: Deploy approved artwork to internal sites, CMOs, and printer suppliers. 

 

Skills and Knowledge required 

Educational Background: Advanced professional certificate in Graphical Industry profession (e.g., CFC). 

Experience: Minimum of 15 years in artwork and packaging design. 

Knowledge of cGMP: Strong knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and its application in a pharmaceutical company. 

Technical Skills: Excellent skills in artwork preparation and modification, very strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant graphical design software, and strong knowledge of GlobalVision software and MS Office. 

Leadership and Organizational Skills: Very good leadership and organizational skills. 

Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with groups in other geographical locations, and a good team player. 

Independence and Accountability: Able to work independently, partner effectively with global functions, and set/manage own and team’s objectives. 

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English.
