Ranging and Assortment Manager - Sports Direct

You’ll be joining our Stockport Head office, home to 18 showrooms, our Conference Centre, staff Wellness Hub, a truly state-of-the-art gym - fully loaded with Peloton bikes & every piece of gym equipment you can imagine. An indoor astroturf pitch, chat boxes & creative corners creative spaces. Our Stockport team consists of over 350 adidas employees, working across, Brand, Sports Marketing, Marketing Activations, Visual Merchandising, Sales, Account Operations, Finance, HR & many more. 

 

What you’ll do:

 

As a Ranging and Assortment Manager, you are responsible for the build and execution of the product assortment strategy to deliver against the shared business goals.  You will use your experience and knowledge to manage key stakeholders at all levels internally and externally. You will be responsible for creating a culture of high performance and belonging in adidas by working collaboratively within internal and external functions and strive for the best results in whatever you do.

 

Skills you’ll need:

 

These skills are crucial to landing best-in-class assortments across the Sports Direct estate targeting the Gen Z consumer across Sport and Lifestyle.

 

Business Acumen:  Strong product knowledge and an analytical mindset is needed in this role to brief and land a range targeted at the Sports Direct consumer. Collaboration and Communication Skills: You will work with a number of stakeholders across Global, Europe and Local functions (Product, Merchandising and Commercial Teams), who you will need to bring together to deliver against adidas’ strategic direction. Influencing Skills: You will need to be able to influence and make fact-based decisions through an entrepreneurial mindset to drive opportunities that can increase both net sales and market share away from the competition. Understanding Accounts: Dive into the specifics of assigned accounts. Know their nuances, preferences, and pain points. Brand Ambassadorship: As the brand ambassador, you’ll embody our brand values when interacting with stakeholders. Whether it’s customers, partners, or internal functions, your actions reflect our identity. Organized:  Structured, organized and process orientated will be key in succeeding in the role as you manage multiple seasons and categories end to end. Proven experience in Go-To-Market strategy, Category Management and leadership within a similar role, in the sportswear or fashion industry. Willingness to travel across Europe and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
